Mines
The best quality limestone is being mined from a quarry from nearly 18 hectors of own land in Dubidanda Rolpa. The distance from the quarry to the plant site is 42 km. The excavation in the quarry is a semi mechanized system using heavy machineries (Excavators and loaders) by the development of systematic benches by the technical supervision of SCPL. Trippers are used to haul the limestone to the factory.
Cement
The Sonapur Cements Private Limited was established in 2008 with production capacity of 750 tons per day (TPD). It started its production of clinker and cement in June 2012. With the minimum changes in the plant the production can be expanded to 1250 TPD. The plant can be easily upgraded for the production of 2000 TPD capacity with medium modifications/changes. The Company is the largest cement manufacturer in Western Nepal. Our plant is spread across nearly 60 hectors of own land in Bijauri , a strategic location at Dang that ensures easy availability of high-grade limestone. The company is producing best quality cements. The product has acquired Nepal Standard (NS) Certification from the Government of Nepal. The cement produced is sold in the domestic market under the different brand names. The brand name is well established and the product is being used by Melamchi Drinking water and hydropower projects and other major infrastructure development projects.
